Richard Laugesen

Hi, you can reach me at richard@laugesen.com.au and on BlueSky

Research

My work generally sits in hydrological science, around the intersections of decision theory, hydrological modelling, and water resource management. I'm always interested in new collaborations, especially in Southeast Asia. I am a doctoral researcher at University of Adelaide and honorary fellow at Australian National University. Please email me at richard.laugesen@adelaide.edu.au to start a conversation. ORCID.

Consulting

Please approach my consultancy at Pintar Projects to discuss any predictive systems, decision intelligence, or general contracting support you may need.

Bureau of Meteorology

Please contact me at richard.laugesen@bom.gov.au regarding any Bureau related projects I am involved in.

Teaching

I currently teach science at a local high school, love it, and have no capacity for further commitments. It's my small way of tackling disinformation and the climate emergency.

Advocacy

Globally, bleeding disorders are underdiagnosed, have limited access to treatment, and cause substantial health, social, and economic impacts. I've been part of the ACT committee of Haemophilia Foundation Australia for a number of years and am happy to chat if you want to know more.
